Spring 2025 grant, loan, and scholarship disbursements will be processed beginning March 6.  Refunds for most students will be received approximately 14 days later (depending on the day the award is processed by the Financial Aid Office and pending any delays). Once the refund is posted to your student account, it will be available within six to eight business days if you have opted for direct deposit (ACH). Refunds by check will be mailed within 14 days after the refund is posted to your student account.

During the refund process, when you go to your MYGCC account to view your previously posted financial aid award(s) and they are not showing for the spring semester, that most likely means that financial aid is being processed. Once processed, any refund you are due will be direct deposited or mailed to your address of record with GCC– based on the method that you setup for your account. The award(s) will again show on your account once Student Financials has finished their processes and the amount of the refund will also show.

Students only taking classes beginning February 11 or later will have a notice on their To Do List about a delayed refund.

Refunds will then be processed every two weeks, beginning March 20, unless otherwise noted.

As always, be checking your student email account, Message Center, and To Do List for updates from the Financial Aid Office.
