Through our Dual Enrollment programs, we offer high school and home-schooled students great opportunities to earn college credit before you graduate.

Independent

Take classes directly through Germanna, outside of your high school or home-school schedule. Eligible classes are guaranteed to transfer to Virginia public colleges and universities.

Early College

Dual Enrollment vs A.P. and I.B.

Unlike A.P. and I.B. courses, dual enrollment offers a more straightforward path to earning college credit—you don’t need to stress over a big exam at the end. As long as you earn a C or higher, you’ll receive transfer credit for the course. You'll also have access to real college resources and a true college experience, helping you get a head start on your higher education journey.

Why choose Germanna?

  • Take affordable classes taught by fully credentialed college faculty
  • Earn college credit based on your performance throughout the semester, instead of a single test
  • Complete up to one year of bachelor's degree coursework while in high school
  • Gain valuable experience in the rigors of a college-level course
