- Streamlined Application Process: Easy, seamless transfer to Mason after Germanna. Transition to Mason’s bachelor’s degree program with a free, abbreviated application.

Guaranteed Transfer Agreement Highlights
Outside of Mason ADVANCE, Germanna students may take advantage of our Guaranteed Transfer Agreement with Mason.
Admission Requirements
- Apply online for Mason admission by the required GAA deadline: March 1 for fall admission or October 1 for spring admission. Submit the GAA Letter of Intent included in the transfer application.
- Present a 2.85 or higher cumulative grade point average upon application to Mason and upon VCCS graduation. Must have 2.85 cumulative GPA at every institution attended for the last 5 years.
- Apply for graduation from Germanna by the published college deadline. Fall admission applicants must graduate in May. Spring admission applicants must graduate in August or December.
- Earn an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree
- Students must complete ENG 112 and one of the following math courses: MTH 154, 245, 261, 263 or 288 before applying.
- Students must earn no grade lower than a C in any course. Courses completed with D or F grades must be repeated and the grade replaced before the application to Mason.
- Students are required to earn an associate degree with 60 or more credits; a minimum of 30 credits must be completed at Germanna.
- Students who earn associate degrees concurrently with high school diplomas are not eligible for transfer admissions. These students must apply for first-year admission.
