Students must complete an Associate of Science (AS) or Associate of Arts and Sciences
(AA&S) degree in Engineering or Science with a 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Submit a “Letter of Intent” or Interest after at least 15 transferable credits with a minimum 3.0 GPA, but before 90 days prior to graduation.
- Student must earn a grade of "B" or in all math, science, and engineering courses. Earn a grade of "C" or higher in other courses applicable to the associate degree program. No grades below C transfer to VCU. Students should repeat D and F grades.
- To ensure successful completion of the introductory-level requirements for a baccalaureate degree, students who are eligible for guaranteed admission to the School of Engineering must complete the following minimum core classes prior to transfer to VCU: ENG 111, 112, CHM 111, PHY 241, 242, MTH 173, 174 (prior to 2017), MTH 263, 264 (post 2017), and PHI 220, 225, 226, 227 or 228. Other recommended course include MTH 277, 279 (prior to 2017), or MTH 267 (post 2017).
- Enroll at VCU within one year of the completing the Associate degree.
- Students who were previously enrolled at VCU are NOT eligible for this program.
- A student who receives an Associate of Science or Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Engineering or Science and a high school diploma concurrently is eligible for admission under the terms of this agreement.
