Applies to those students with the Uniform Certificate of General Studies or a Transfer Oriented Degree.
Those students with a General Education Certificate (one- year certificate) must have:
A maximum of 90 credits will apply towards bachelor's degree requirements.
A minimum of 30 credits must be completed at Germanna.
Acceptance in some degree programs is competitive and requires separate application process.
Completion of the transfer-oriented associated degree or general education certificate will guarantee completion of the University Core general education component of the VCU undergraduate curriculum, but may not fulfill specific departmental requirements or prerequisites needed for majors.
Guaranteed admission applies to students who earned an associate degree concurrent with high school. High School students who earn a degree concurrent with graduation from high school must follow the freshman application deadline and indicate they are applying as a freshman when prompted on the admission application.

Students must complete an Associate of Science (AS) or Associate of Arts and Sciences (AA&S) degree in Engineering or Science with a 3.0 cumulative GPA
Submit a “Letter of Intent” or Interest after at least 15 transferable credits with a minimum 3.0 GPA, but before 90 days prior to graduation.
Student must earn a grade of "B" or in all math, science, and engineering courses. Earn a grade of "C" or higher in other courses applicable to the associate degree program. No grades below C transfer to VCU.
Enroll at VCU within one year of the completing the associate degree.
A student who receives an Associate of Science or Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Engineering or Science and a high school diploma concurrently is eligible for admission under the terms of this agreement.
