Resources for students
Helpful resources, guides, and online support services for online learners.
Resources for faculty
Instruction guidelines, resources, and support for teaching online.
Online Learning provides learning opportunities of rigor and quality equivalent to traditional classroom delivery, providing quality and accessible lifelong learning opportunities that serve a diverse community population.
To serve that commitment, Germanna offers online-synchronous, online-asynchronous, and hybrid courses. Online-synchronous courses have a required meeting time held via Zoom with additional materials and assignments in the Canvas course. Online-asynchronous courses do not have a required meeting time; all materials are available in the Canvas course. Hybrid courses are a combination of campus lectures and online instruction. Online courses may also include proctored activities.
Germanna has been approved by Virginia to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA).
NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of post secondary distance education.
