Gossweiler Emergency Fund
This emergency fund provides support for students who encounter a financial barrier that could cause them to drop out of college. Examples could be an expensive car repair or not being able to pay a bill due to temporary job loss. The fund was created in honor of Germanna professor, Richard Gossweiler, who passed away in 2015.
If you have experienced an emergency or have had unexpected expenses that make it hard for you to continue to attend college, please see a Care Team staff member or staff in the Financial Aid department to fill out an application for the Gossweiler Emergency Fund. Students are eligible for up to $600 in emergency aid once per calendar year. Make an appointment by emailing germannacares@germanna.edu.
