Germanna Scholars

To be considered, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Be a rising junior at a participating high school
• Pursuing an Advanced Studies Diploma
• Completed Algebra II or higher by the end of their sophomore year
• Completed three verified credits by the end of sophomore year
• Have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher
• In good disciplinary standing with the high school

Germanna will request transcripts from your high school to confirm applicants meet, or are on track to meet, all requirements as part of the application process. 

Meet with your high school counselor to discuss your eligibility.

Write an essay of approximately 500 words responding to the following prompt:

Choose a favorite quotation from a book/song/movie/artist/mentor/etc. that reflects a part of your identity. Share the quotation (and source) and explain how the quote reflects both your personal sense of self and your academic goals.

Be sure to emphasize the relevance of the quotation to both your personal definition of who you are and your academic aspirations.
