Preserving Our Past. Sharing Our Stories. Building Our Legacy.
The Germanna History Project is a student-driven initiative dedicated to preserving and sharing the stories that have shaped Germanna Community College. Supported by Germanna Libraries and the History Department, this project captures personal experiences, memories, and perspectives from those who have been part of Germanna’s journey.
From faculty and staff to alumni, retirees, and community partners, every story helps create a richer, more complete picture of Germanna’s history. These personal accounts ensure that the people, moments, and milestones that define our college are not lost to time but preserved for future generations of students and community members.
By participating, you are helping students engage directly with history, strengthen institutional memory, and honor the individuals who helped build and grow Germanna.
Your story is an important part of Germanna’s legacy.
Share Your Story
We invite alumni, retirees, faculty, staff, and community members to participate in an oral history interview as part of the Germanna History Project. These interviews are a meaningful way to contribute to the College’s historical record and ensure your experiences are preserved. Interviews will last approximately one hour.
