Early College Program

• Rising junior at a participating high school
• Pursuing an Advanced Studies Diploma
• Completed Algebra II or higher by end of sophomore year
• Three verified credits by end of sophomore year
• Minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0
• Good disciplinary standing

Germanna will request transcripts from your high school to confirm applicants meet, or are on track to meet, all requirements as part of the application process. 

Meet with your high school counselor to discuss your eligibility.

In your application, you'll submit a video response to the two questions listed below. Your video must be a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes. Read the questions carefully so you can fully respond.

1. Briefly describe a time when you dealt with a difficult situation and share how you overcame it.
2. What is your motivation for applying to the Germanna Early College program and what do you expect to gain from it?

Pro tips:

For Question 1, don't just tell us what happened—tell us what you learned. The "how you overcame it" part is much more important than the "difficult situation" itself.

For Question 2, think about what this program would mean to you personally, not just "it will help me get into a bachelor's program".
