The easiest way for you to schedule a session is to submit an online Individual Tutoring Request Form. You can always find it on the ACE homepage. You can call us or send an email message to ACE@germanna.edu. Once you provide us with your contact information, we will call you during our operating hours to schedule an appointment.
Tutoring is available for all credit classes taught at Germanna. Students are eligible to schedule two one-hour tutoring sessions per week as well as drop-in sessions in the Math and Writing Centers.
No, all Germanna tutoring programs, resources, and services are free for students.
Yes, 24/7 online tutoring is also available via Brainfuse. You can access Brainfuse from the myGCC landing page or from any Canvas course shell.

Ace is here, there, and everywhere, meaning tutoring sessions are available on-campus and online. ACE has offices at the Fredericksburg Area Campus in room 208, the Locust Grove Campus in room 208, and the Barbara J. Fried Center in Stafford in room 132. In addition, students can visit ACE Online by clicking on the “ACE Tutoring Services” link from any of their Canvas class homepages. ACE Online sessions are conducted via Zoom video conferencing.
Drop-in assistance is available for all math topics in two locations. Students can drop into the Fredericksburg Area Campus Math Center or the ACE Online Math Center during the drop-in hours.
Drop-in assistance is available for writing assignments across all disciplines in the Fredericksburg Area Campus Writing Center and the ACE Online Writing Center.
Students who have a minimum GPA of 3.5 can submit a Tutor Application Form, along with a Tutor Recommendation Form from two instructors, and email them to ACE@germanna.edu.
