Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)

The AAS nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) (3390 Peachtree Road N.E., Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA, 30326 (404) 975-5000) and both the AAS nursing and the practical nursing certificate programs are approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing (Perimeter Center, 9960 Maryland Drive, Suite 300, Richmond, VA 23233-1463, (804) 367-4473).

Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)

Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)

The program in dental assisting is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation [and has been granted the accreditation status of “approval without reporting requirements”]. The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education. The Germanna PTA program has determined that its curriculum meets the state educational requirements for licensure or certification in all states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands secondary to its accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education, based on the following:

CAPTE accreditation of a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant program satisfies state educational requirements in all states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Thus, students graduating from CAPTE-accredited physical therapist and physical therapist assistant education programs are eligible to take the National Physical Therapy Examination and to apply for licensure in all states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation (ASE Education Foundation)

The Automobile technician-training program is accredited by the Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation (ASE Education Foundation) for Master Automobile Service Technology.
