Congratulations to our spring graduates, who crossed the stage during Germanna’s Commencement Ceremonies on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the Fredericksburg Expo Center. We proudly graduated over 700 students and awarded over 900 degrees and certifications.

2010 Germanna graduate Roy Branklin was the alumni speaker during the ceremony on Thursday evening. After starting his college journey in his mid-30s, his unconventional pathway led him to a career of serving others with his company, Mental Health Solutions, in Fredericksburg. As a licensed professional counselor, Branklin is dedicated to helping others receive the mental health care they need.

Alessandra Garcia Guevara was the student Commencement speaker. Originally from Lima, Peru, she moved to the United States three years ago and graduated from Chancellor High School. Alessandra found her place at Germanna, excelling academically with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average and making the President's List each semester. She also took on leadership roles in the Student Government Association and Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Alessandra was a part of the 2023 spring graduating class, receiving an associate degree in computer science.
