Other speakers included Virginia Community College System Chancellor David Doré, Germanna President Janet Gullickson, and Laurel Ridge Community College President Kim Blosser.

Youngkin and Gullickson both referred to the first FEA cohort of 17 students as "pioneers."

The free Future Educators Academy is an innovative early college academy focusing on preparing tomorrow’s teachers in Culpeper, Orange, Madison, Rappahannock, Clarke, Fauquier, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, and Warren counties and the City of Winchester. FEA is a collaboration among these school divisions, Germanna, Laurel Ridge, and James Madison University with one shared goal: producing exceptional teachers for the region.

Students in FEA earn an associate degree while concurrently completing the requirements for an advanced studies diploma.
