The Germanna Gala, held on Friday, February 23, was a special night, as community partners and supporters came together to honor local students and celebrate a remarkable Germanna figure.
Thanks to our generous partners, event sponsors, and donors, the Gala raised $115,000 towards Germanna’s Early College program, Germanna Guarantee Program, and Germanna Cares fund, all of which provide our students with the tools and resources they need to stay in the classroom.
The event also recognized Mr. Bruce Davis, who, after nearly 20 years of dedicated service to Germanna, is retiring to take on a new role as chair of the Mary Washington Healthcare Board of Trustees. During his time at Germanna, Bruce was instrumental in raising $24 million for the College, its staff, and students, and he has truly been a catalyst for growth. He has broken down barriers in the community, spearheading the purchase of two new buildings in Stafford County to offer learning opportunities to a wider range of students. Bruce has left an incredible impact on students, the College, and the community. To honor his contributions, the College honored Bruce as an Emeritus Germanna Educational Foundation Board member and announced that its annual golf tournament will be named in his honor.
