Germanna is collaborating with the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) to offer free workshops across the Commonwealth that advance the use of Generative AI in K-12 classrooms. Participants will explore how to revolutionize the classroom and empower students with cutting-edge AI technology.
The workshop, “Introducing Generative AI to K-12 Teachers,” will give educators hands-on experience with AI tools like ChatGPT and DALL-E, practical strategies for classroom integration, and insights into ethical considerations. These sessions align with updated Standards of Learning for English, Computer Science, and Digital Learning Integration. Division leaders should identify educators to attend and share their knowledge with colleagues. Workshops will be held in-person at Germanna, as well as Reynolds, Virginia Western, Central Virginia, and Southwest Community Colleges.
