Frankie Gilmore
Chair - College Board

Culpeper County
July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2025

Ms. Gilmore, known as “Frankie” by most all, has been happily married since 2005 to a wonderful Southern Gentleman, Robert (Alan) Gilmore. They live in the Cedar Mountain district of Culpeper County, VA. She has two bonus daughters, Chandler Gilmore (lives and works in NY, NY) and Lexie Gilmore (lives and works in Richmond, VA) and one four-legged adopted son, Happy Gilmore – a very spoiled Goldendoodle.

After living and working in the Shenandoah Valley from 1986 to 1997, Ms. Gilmore returned to Culpeper, VA. It didn’t take long to realize what a wonderful community Culpeper is as she took advantage of membership with the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce and attended many of the gatherings and events to become better acquainted with the community.

Through her family business’s 75th Anniversary in 2003, she found her passion of working area youth in the Soap Box Derby. Since then, she has found that her passion lies in supporting young adults as they become active members of our society: helping them learn the foundation of good work practices, turning obstacles into teachable moments and reminding them that everyone is accountable for their words and actions.

She keeps herself grounded through family and friends and makes decisions based on her moral compass as her father taught her at a young age:  Love & Support – God, Family, Community, Country – in that order of importance.
