Institutional Member of the Student Conduct Institute

Germanna Community College is an institutional member of the Student Conduct Institute. Title IX training materials for individuals involved with the Title IX can be found at https://system.suny.edu/sci/postedtraining.

Germanna Community College is committed to educating the College community about sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic and dating violence, and stalking, in an effort to do our part in combating the epidemic of interpersonal violence experienced by college students around the country.

The primary educational tool offered by the College is an online, interactive program called Sexual Assault Prevention for Community College Students.  All new students are exposed to this training as a mandatory assignment in SDV 100/101/108 courses.

Additionally, ongoing prevention and education programming is provided throughout the year.  These programs often occur during Domestic Violence Awareness Month (October) and Sexual Assault Awareness Month (April).

If you are a Germanna Community College student and are interested in completing the Sexual Assault Prevention for Community College Students online program, please email Mark Haines, mhaines@germanna.edu to request access.
