Shirley Eye

Shirley C. Eye is a dedicated and accomplished educator and community leader, known for her extensive contributions to the field of education and her commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others. With a career spanning several decades, she has held various roles in education, from teacher to principal, and has been actively involved in community service initiatives.

Ms. Eye is a dedicated community member with strong ties to Fredericksburg City, her home since 2002. As a proud member of the Fredericksburg Host Lions Club since 2013, she has actively contributed to the betterment of our community. In various leadership roles, she has overseen essential initiatives such as conducting hearing and vision screenings for adults, preschoolers, and youth. Additionally, she takes great pride in coordinating the Lions Club's scholarship program and serving as the chair of the Youth Services Committee, aiming to empower and support the youth of our city. Together, with fellow Lions and community partners, she strives to make a positive impact on the lives of those around us.

Ms. Eye is a devoted mother, grandmother, and partner. She cherishes the memories of her son, David Berlin Eye, who passed away on January 12, 2023, and finds joy and support in the presence of her daughter, Suzan Eye Mann, and her husband, Gerry, as well as her granddaughter, Kathleen Popowycz, and grandson, Forrest Mann. Additionally, she shares her life with her partner, Ken Lapin, who provides love and companionship.
